The Jesuit Juniorate program is the next stage of formation of young Jesuits who pass out from the Novitiate training. It emphasizes growth in academic knowledge, spiritual depth, and personal maturity, helping juniors to cultivate a deeper understanding of Jesuit identity, Ignatian spirituality, and community life.
During this stage, juniors study humanities, languages, and essential Jesuit texts, laying a foundation for future studies and ministry work. The Juniorate program is designed to enrich their intellectual, cultural, and spiritual development, fostering a strong sense of companionship and commitment to their future ministries in the Society of Jesus.

The Society of Jesus was founded in 1540
by Saint Ignatius Loyola and his companions.
The mission of the Jesuits is a mission of justice and reconciliation, working so that
women and men can be reconciled with God, with themselves, with each other
and with God’s creation.
