The Jesuit Formation is a gradual process of human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral development through which a candidate is prepared to live the mission of the Society of Jesus as a companion of Jesus in service to the Church and the world. It typically includes novitiate, philosophical studies, regency (apostolic work), theological studies, ordination, and tertianship, leading to a lifelong commitment to growth in faith, service, and mission.
