What we do?
The Development Office serves as a support structure responsible for resource mobilization and fundraising efforts for the province. Its scope includes supporting province operations, formation, new apostolic initiatives, and the care of health and elderly members within the community. Additionally, it coordinates fundraising and friend-raising activities and addresses unforeseen crises affecting the community. A primary goal of the Development Office is to achieve self-sustenance through local support. The office organizes and coordinates ways for local partners, collaborators, the laity, and friends to engage and share responsibility in the mission of the Sri Lanka Jesuit Province.
VISIT of Cornnina from Misereor
Corinna Broeckmann, Regional Officer for Sri Lanka and Oceania of the Department for Asia and Oceania Misereor visited ETI Batticaloa to review our Project Application. Corinna was welcomed by Frs. Aniston, Solomon and staff at her maiden visit to Batticaloa. She had time to meet the students from various classes, parents, teachers and Directors. The Q&A sessions were very vibrant. She heard and saw our needs. Corinna’s final session with the staff was very productive and thought provoking.
Visit of Dr. John from the Anglican Board of Mission, Australia
Rev. Dr. John Deane, the Executive Director of Anglican Board of Missions, Australia visited the PDD Office accompanied by Kumar Rasiah, Member of the Anglican Board of Missions, Australia. Kumar is good friend of the Jesuits and a generous donor to St. Peter Claver Institute for Children with Intellectual Disabilities (Differently Abled) and old boy from St. Thomas’ Mount Lavinia. John is a product from the Jesuit Faculty of Theology in Melbourne and close friend of JRS Thailand. John’s great passion is on Advocacy of Rights of the Plantation Community in Sri Lanka and educating the young from the plantation sector.
Donor Visit from the Gipum Nanum Foundation – Jesuit Province of Korea
The Province was delighted to host the Secretary General and the Program Director of the Gipum Nanum Foundation of the Jesuit Province of Korea during their visit to Sri Lanka from 8–11 December 2025.
